It’s that time of year when families are searching for Christmas photo ideas. These photos can also be done with your closest friends. So why not have a best friend Christmas photo shoot! Before you look through the images for different ideas for holiday photos, here’s a little back story as how this session came to life. Enjoy!
Seven years ago, the company I worked for moved five hours away from the only city my girls (then 13 and 17) had ever lived in. I knew the transition would not be easy for them and hard decisions needed to be made. Since my youngest was in the eighth grade and my oldest was in her senior year, I allowed them to stay in Houston with my mom and grandfather to finish out the year while my husband and got settled in Fort Worth.
My youngest daughter, Shontell, is pretty much like her mom when it comes to making new friends so I did not expect her to come home raving about any new friends she’d met in high school. To my surprise, Shontell met a group of fantastic girls her freshman year and they are still close friends 6 years later. The girls made it through all of the drama that comes along with adolescence and are going into young adulthood together. So when they asked for a best friends Christmas photo shoot, how could I say no! They chose the perfect pajamas from Old Navy for their session. Aren’t the just cute!
Friends are the family you choose and I think this group chose well. It’s been fun watching these ladies grow and the valuable bond they’ve created. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you ladies!
